Officially opened on 1 September 2026, Level 7 introduces seven purpose-built, multi-bedroom apartments designed to better accommodate larger families and those requiring extended stays. The additional space provides families with greater privacy, comfort and flexibility, helping parents, siblings and extended family members remain together and close to the hospital throughout often lengthy treatment periods.
It was a privilege to join the RMHC SEQ team, project partners, supporters and members of the community for the official opening and see the completed floor ready to welcome families.
The delivery of Level 7 was a collaborative effort involving Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland, its donors and supporters, the building committee and a broader team of consultants and project partners. McCormack is proud to have played a role in bringing this important addition to South Brisbane House to life.
