We were grateful to welcome Susan Barton, founder of our long-term partner, Lighthouse Foundation. If you’ve ever had the privilege of hearing Sue speak, you’ll know how extraordinary she is and the profound impact she has made. She shared her journey of turning challenges into meaningful outcomes, and how, in pursuing her passion, she found the courage along the way.
Sue highlighted the important work Lighthouse continues to do, particularly in supporting young women affected by modern slavery, including forced marriage, through safe housing and long-term therapeutic care. It was incredibly moving to hear how the collective efforts of our team and extended community have contributed in a meaningful way. We also acknowledge there is still much work to be done.
Thank you to Maddison Greer, Khue (June) Nguyen and Danielle Flood for organising the morning, and to everyone who joined us.
