Our two-year program gives graduates the opportunity to gain real-world experience across key disciplines, including Health & Safety, Estimating, Design & Services, and Project & Site Management. Each rotation provides meaningful exposure, defined responsibilities, and clear learning objectives tailored to different parts of the business.
Working as part of dynamic, multidisciplinary teams, graduates develop a deeper understanding of the full project lifecycle, while building the confidence, capability, and collaborative mindset that defines a McCormack professional.

Meet Elaine and Michelle, two of our newest grads. They’ve just wrapped up their first rotations and are already making their mark, not just on site but across the culture of McCormack itself.
Elaine came across McCormack while deep in the hunt for the right graduate opportunity. “I was drawn to the variety and quality of projects,” she says, “but also to the values. Seeing the work with Greenfleet, and the commitment to sustainability, it just felt like a place where I could grow, a place that’s dedicated to its work and its impact.”
And grow she has. From her first day, Elaine embraced the steep learning curve, backed by mentors who made the climb feel manageable. “The training and mentorship have been one of the best parts,” she says. “It’s been a place of real growth, I’ve learned so much across different parts of construction. Everyone’s so willing to guide you. It’s been the best kind of kickstart.”
Michelle’s path has already spanned safety and estimating, offering her a view of the business from multiple vantage points. “I started in the HSEQ team, focused on safety standards. Then I moved into Estimating, managing financial risks. The work is totally different, but the core skills such as risk assessment, communication, attention to detail definitely carry through.”
What’s stood out for Michelle isn’t just the scope of learning, but the culture. “Honestly, it’s the people,” she says. “It’s a tight-knit crew. Everyone supports each other, whether we’re pushing through deadlines or sharing lunch and a game of pool. That kind of team spirit makes the work feel more meaningful. It never feels like just a job.”
Both grads see their future at McCormack as one built on strong foundations collaboration, challenge, and the tangible satisfaction of bringing spaces to life.
“I love seeing how the details come together,” says Michelle. “Knowing the work we do directly shapes how people experience a space and that’s exciting.”
Elaine offers some advice for others just starting out: “Don’t be afraid to ask questions. No one expects you to know everything, curiosity is one of the best tools you can have early in your career. Show up, stay curious, and don’t settle.”
We couldn’t be happier to have Elaine and Michelle on the team, their fresh ideas and thoughtful perspectives continue to bring valuable energy and insight to every team they’re part of.
