Refurbished to A-Grade standard, the iconic 500 Collins Street, Melbourne, is at the forefront of modern technology and design. It makes sense then, that the building’s End of Trip (EOT) facilities are just as sophisticated and add value to the building’s reputation and 5-star Green Star Office Design accreditation. McCormack was brought in to transform a section of the car park into high-quality EOT facilities. The project needed to include a hydraulic hot water system and extensive electrical and mechanical works.
McCormack’s ability to manage a complicated programme of works came to the forefront with this project. Co-ordinating a number of trades including electrical, mechanical and hydraulics experts, alongside the client and designers, the final result is a combination of exceptional design and specialised expertise. A bold use of colour makes for an overall striking entrance to the facilities. Further in, stylish amenities add 5-star Art Deco glamour with elegant feature lighting that contrasts strikingly with the industrial elements of the space. The streamlined locker room and bike rack facilities are clean and functional, ensuring ease-of-use. Overall, the new facilities combine sophistication and functionality – a perfect combination for this high-quality building.
