GMHBA, Australia’s leading regionally based not-for-profit health insurer appointed McCormack design and construct contractor for their multidisciplinary hub in Geelong.
This new flagship facility for GMHBA represents a significant investment in the health and wellbeing of the Geelong community, bringing together a wide range of essential health services under one roof such as private health insurance, dental, eye care, medical and physiotherapy services.
GMHBA’s health hub redefines the typical wellness space, offering a warm, community-centred environment. Travertine stone is used throughout the fit out that adds depth and sophistication, while a thoughtful mix of materials like exposed brick, timber, and stone compliments with GMHBA’s signature colours, crafting a modern and inviting setting.
McCormack worked closely with consultants to provide extensive value management throughout the design phase to alleviate costs. GMHBA altered at the commencement of construction to bring in additional costs, which our team immediately condensed the programme, fast tracking the programme to minimise the impact of the additional scope.
