Marking a significant milestone for Hume City Council, McCormack undertook a 2000sqm fitout of the Hume Global Learning Centre in Broadmeadows, creating a significantly valuable community asset for its 200,000 residents.
The primary goal of the refurbishment was to re-establish the Council Chamber and restore community bookable spaces at the heart of Broadmeadows, providing a new home for the council and a welcoming environment for Hume residents.
A notable feature of the project is the custom-designed carpet, which artistically represents the topography of the Hume area. The river runs are depicted on the wall panels. Additionally, spotted gum and other locally manufactured timbers were featured throughout, with steam bending techniques applied to shape thick timber materials to reflect the Hume logo. The team successfully completed the work within a live library environment, with excellent communication ensuring that operations continued smoothly and without disruption to the council.
Congratulations to Cr Naim Kurt, Hume Mayor, on the successful transformation of the Hume Global Learning Centre, a wonderful space for learning and community connection. We appreciate you and the entire PCG team for the positive feedback during the build process. Thank you for your support!
