McCormack was appointed to deliver the base build redevelopment of 300 La Trobe Street, transforming the ground floor and façade to meet the operational requirements while enhancing the building’s civic presence.

The programme involved a full reconfiguration of the ground floor, introducing separate public and vulnerable persons entries with tailored access, security screening, DDA compliance, and new end-of-trip amenities. The lobby, rotunda and café were revitalised with specialist lighting and hospitality offerings, supported by lift upgrades, fire exits, parcel lockers, and back-of-house facilities to improve daily operations.

Externally, the South and East façades were demolished and reconstructed, extending the La Trobe Street frontage to establish a prominent public entry aligned with the buildings identity.

The redevelopment has repositioned 300 La Trobe Street as a modern, purpose-built facility that integrates functionality, security and design excellence, reinforcing its status as a leading A-grade commercial asset.

We look forward to sharing more completed works from this building.
