McCormack was engaged by ARM Architecture to deliver their new workplace at Level 27, 303 Collins Street, supporting both current operations and future design output.

Set within a refurbished 1970s commercial tower, the fitout responds to the existing building while establishing a contemporary studio environment. Designed by ARM for its own use, the workplace reflects the practice’s approach: open, energetic and research-led, supporting the development, testing and communication of ideas.

Focus rooms, media rooms and meeting spaces are distributed across the floorplate, alongside open studio areas and quieter zones for concentrated work. The layout balances collaboration with individual focus, improving day-to-day functionality. A dedicated display suite supports project presentation and review, while lighting and ceiling elements assist with wayfinding and spatial definition. Sustainability was a key consideration. The project incorporates reused and refurbished furniture, recycled materials and durable finishes to support long-term use.

The project was delivered within four months, resulting in a workplace aligned with ARM’s culture and future direction. We look forward to hearing how this space is utilised over the coming years.
