McCormack proudly delivered the extensive $5 million revitalisation of the Albion Hotel, one of Brisbane’s most historic pubs, dating back to the late 1800s.

Working with Cayas + Ward, our team carefully brought new life to the much-loved local, balancing heritage sensitivity with modern hospitality design. The transformation spanned every part of the venue, from the dining and sports bar areas to the expansive beer garden, restaurant terrace, and intimate function rooms.

The refurbishment embraced the building’s original character, uncovering brickwork and timber structure long hidden beneath decades of renovations. These historic details now sit comfortably beside contemporary finishes and new features, including a purpose-built Marana pizza oven that anchors the venue’s Italian-inspired dining offer.

Externally, the upgrade introduced subtle architectural lighting to enhance the Albion’s façade and highlight its historic fabric after dark. The result is a thoughtfully restored destination that feels both timeless and new, a true neighbourhood icon reimagined for today’s patrons.
