McCormack was engaged by Collective Projects to deliver the Level 7 workplace fit-out for the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD), Australia’s first hospital-based biomedical engineering research centre.
Delivered through an early contractor involvement model, our team worked closely with ACMD staff, JC Design, and the consultant team from the design phase, applying construction expertise early to improve buildability, reduce design rework and provide greater cost certainty before construction commenced.
The workplace design, led by Studio 103, reflects ACMD’s core values through a considered approach to colour, materiality and lighting. The result is a flexible, contemporary workplace that encourages collaboration, supports a range of working styles and creates a destination for innovation.
This new environment will provide an enduring home for partners, researchers and consultants, supporting the advancement of medical and technology innovation for years to come. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. We look forward to seeing the impact this space has in supporting ACMD’s mission.
