Wrays Lawyers, one of the largest independent IP specialist firms in Australia relocated to a new tenancy in one of Melbourne CBD’s most prominent areas. McCormack in conjunction with IA Design, was engaged to design and construct the new Melbourne office. The goal for Wrays was to replicate the same design model as their Perth office to create continuity with their company branding and identity.
With Wrays lease ending and the relocation date being set, timing for completion was the biggest factor in getting this job across the line.
As this project was solely based on timing the works to be completed by the relocation date, the team at McCormack strategized and programmed out the stages with careful deliberation.
Starting with the back of house area through to the more detailed front of house. This was where the works came down to the wire which included a lot of critical path items. This meant that the programming needed to be coordinated accurately so that quality was not impacted.
The finished design presented with a striking reception entry area that displayed sprayed out sleek black ceilings, with black timber panels. To add to the industrial look were polished concrete floors and walls, coupled with elegant lighting which compliment the overall look and feel creating a dramatic effect.
The end result produced a glamourous and bold design that will surely leave a memorable impression.
