The Brief

The brief from Salta Properties was to create brand new End of Trip (EOT) facilities in the carpark space of their River Boulevard property in Richmond. Their goal was to upgrade the building in order to increase the asset value for their tenants. The new facilities needed to include male and female amenities, a shower block and change rooms along with bike storage. The brief also stipulated that secure access and pathways be included in the overall design.

Our Solution

End of Trip facilities are fast-becoming a necessary obligation for businesses whose employees make the effort to cycle, jog or walk to work. McCormack’s solution for Salta was to deliver a seamless, innovative design that also offers privacy, security and functionality, and adds overall value to the building. Working across multiple stakeholders, McCormack was able to manage adjustments and adaptions to the design and timeframes in consultation with the client and key parties to ensure the brief was able to be met. The finished project incorporates bold feature screens to provide a contrasting element in the bike cage. Exposed painted-out ceilings and timber feature finishes add a contemporary, fresh look to the lockers and amenities, and crisp industrial-white tiles, black highlights, feature lighting and marble backsplashes all add a luxurious overtone to the space.
