Prime Super – Melbourne Office Fitout

About This Project

Client:            Prime Super
Designer:     Studio 103
Project:         Melbourne Office Fitout
Address:       Level 24, 500 Collins Street, Melbourne

The Brief

Prime Super’s existing office space in Melbourne provided strong motivation to relocate to their new 500 Collins Street address. A lack of space, natural light and not enough meeting rooms was causing operational issues for our Prime Super client, who felt that it was important to create a new space where staff would feel a sense of welcoming, warmth and pride in their workspace & facilities.

Our Solution

The design intent was to create a light, bright and functional workspace, with a plethora of neighbourhoods to facilitate individual working, collaboration, formal & informal meetings. All spaces needed to feel connected, but also to provide relative privacy for staff where specifically required. The large open workspace surrounded by enclosed management offices ensured that all teams were together with good proximity to their managers. Meeting rooms were strategically placed to ensure a balance across the floor for all teams. The executive boardroom and adjacent lounge & teapoint were an important addition for Prime Super, as their regular board meetings required space enough to cater for 24 board members, who would often meet for hours at a time. This new executive space is impressive and comfortable, with the latest AV technology to enhance user experience.

Prime Super’s branded guidelines provided a wonderful foundation for the colour scheme within the space. Using white as our base to accentuate the natural light from the expansive perimeter windows, rich purples, pinks & blues provided bold & textural accents through their application in  materiality & finishes. These accents filter through each zone in various contexts, and loop together with the glazed frosted artwork to visually accentuate the brand as you journey through the space.

The enthusiastic involvement of our client, Valla, from start to finish made the project entirely collaborative in its nature, ensuring that the completed project provided the best outcome possible for the client.
