598 St Kilda Road, Melbourne
This 7 storey building with more than 40,000 square feet of floor space was first developed in 1920 and known as “The Charlton”. Over the years it was redeveloped into an office complex for a large control data company and again designed to stand as the apartment complex it is today. McCormack worked with Studio 103 to develop a concept to refurbish the exterior facade and refresh it’s look and feel.
The owners corporation decided to once again refresh the exterior of the building and give the renowned 568 St Kilda Road building a full Facade Remediation. This included all elevations, parapets and capping, substation and the retaining walls.
Careful planning and consideration was given into selecting the right colour to give the required to bring this building back to life. McCormack we’re successful in completeing this project within a 6 week preiod. The team worked extremely hard at ensuring the finish was of the highest quality. With constant communication and cooperation with the tenants and building management we have been able to revive the look of the building, creating a more fresh and modern appeal.
