The Brief

CBRE Tenant Representation urgently needed to find new office space for their client, PR and marketing consultancy Edelman. Having worked on fast-turnaround projects with McCormack in the past, CBRE knew the work would be done on time and on budget. The brief required a full upgrade of services, wall finishes, ceiling linings, joinery, furniture and partial upgrade of floor finishes. The client also had a strict three-week deadline that had to be meet due to their current leasing expiration. Working alongside in-house design team Studio 103, McCormack was able to provide initial design presentation, documentation and pricing within a two-week period to ensure the following three-week construction stage was met.

Our Solution

In response to the client’s tight budget and three-week timeframe, McCormack implemented smart, simple designs and a streamlined onboarding process to deliver the project on time and on budget. Working collaboratively with all stakeholders, communicating effectively and ensuring the client’s needs came first and foremost were crucial to the smooth running of the project right from the start. By gaining approvals in stages to ensure continual workflow, prioritising the handover of the communications room, and knowing the client’s acoustic requirements early on, McCormack was able to mitigate delays, identify issues and propose solutions effectively and efficiently.

The overall end result is sleek, modern and refreshing and doesn’t compromise on quality. Polished concrete flooring and feature timber screens add an element of authenticity and interest to the fitout. All furniture was locally sourced which not only saved time, but also incorporates local flair into the design. A funky, fun feature wall adds a quirky touch to the brightly lit space.
