Brief

As part of the base building upgrade at Eagle House, McCormack and IA Design delivered two show suites for prospective tenants on Level 6.

The brief was for both suites to have similar spatial layouts and functional requirements but colour schemes. The north suite is based on a green palette and the south suite is blue. Both designs incorporate a reception/waiting space (unmanned), 10-person boardroom, 2 meeting rooms, 2 phone rooms, collaboration zones, breakout & 1:10 sit-to-stand workstation ratio.

Eagle House is a heritage listed building that is unique for its curtain wall construction. As part of the works IA Design wanted to celebrate the abundance of natural light this architectural style provides to the floorplate. We achieved this by centralising all built works of the meeting rooms and breakout close to the buildings core which in turn provided clear visual wayfinding to each tenancies waiting zones from the new lift lobby. Exposed white ceilings contribute to the open, modern and fresh feeling within the general workspace.

The key to the design’s success was to provide prospective tenants with a space that was ready for immediate occupation whilst allowing for flexibility based on their needs. The aim was for a range of differing companies and business structures to walk into the tenancy and imagine their teams utilising and enjoying the space.
