Level 6, 99 King Street, Melbourne


The Brief

Within the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Citic House at 99 King Street presented as a vacant floor on Level 6. McCormack was asked to provide a speculative fitout to attract prospective tenants. The brief asked for ample meeting rooms, a boardroom and breakout spaces all with an industrial look and feel. There was also scope to extend the existing lift lobby and provide two frameless entry sets.

Our Solution

McCormack’s spec fitout design showcased clean, classic tones to reflect a modern workplace but remain in keeping with the building’s historical origins. The stunning polished concrete floor in the breakout space contrasts with the industrial texture and heritage features of the building. McCormack’s goal was to ensure new tenants could embrace the space as being contemporary, clever and innovative, and an efficient, streamlined fitout was delivered. The extended lobby could then seamlessly transition into its expanded size with a new entry set designed to showcase the frontage of the rejuvenated tenancy. Right from the beginning, there was immediate interest in this tenancy and the workspace was leased as soon as it was completed – a testament to McCormack’s expertise in office design and fitouts.
