Case Meallin contracted McCormack to carry out a lift lobby and amenities upgrade for their client in Glen Iris. The brief was to refurbish the base building areas, revamp the entry of the building and provide a new level of comfort for tenants through refurbishment of the amenities and shower/change facilities.
Having to demolish the existing amenities and the lift lobby floor and panels, set a clean slate for this project. McCormack was able to realise the client’s goals through efficient project management to meet the needs of the occupied tenancy. Working in a live environment on a time critical programme always has its problems, but the implementation of staged works and work after hours, ensured this project ran smoothly. Making a good impression right from the start is important. McCormack introduced new external seating and a cladded column in the entry of the building and, in the loft lobby, sophisticated timber panelling and feature lighting to highlight the stunning new floor. In the amenities area, feature tiling and elegant black fittings add a clean, classy look.
