Level 24, 360 Collins Street, Melbourne
Equipment finance company Axsesstoday was seeking a contemporary and functional fitout for their Collins Street offices. The brief to McCormack was to construct a unified environment where specialised teams could move between spaces according to the day’s work requirements. The client requested an impressive entry along with maximising the spaces available for small and large meetings. The layout also had to be adaptable to Axsesstoday growth needs.
In conjunction with Studio 103, McCormack made key modifications to the Axsesstoday workspace to focus on flexiblity. Delivering a ‘wow’ factor, the sizable, central boardroom takes advantage of the sweeping perimeter views. Natural light enhances the contemporary, neutral palette, and contrasts with the boldness of the company branding. The lack of physical barrier ensures the space and light visually flow, creating a harmonious, positive impression.
The large open-plan workspace also benefits from the abundant natural light and provides the flexibility to accommodate different working requirements for staff. Specialised teams can come together in a unified environment with multiple fixed, adjustable, private, open and collaborative work space options. Large benches flank the workstations and provide hot-desk and collaborative spaces so staff can choose to work where it suits them. A large breakout space and additional casual lounge area provide yet more options. A generous number of plants enhance the open, airy space with storage units creatively doubling as plant storage.
Overall the flexible design creates a flowing, bright, light and airy space that encourages collaboration, interactivity and productivity.
