Australian Foundation Investment Company (AFIC) briefed McCormack with the task of extending their offices in Collins Street, Melbourne, into a neighbouring tenancy. They also required a refurbishment of their current office space. A primary requirement of the brief was to undertake the modification and refurbishment works during normal business hours to reduce overall costs, whilst creating minimal disruptions to both AFIC and their neighbouring tenant. Both tenants needed to remain fully operational. AFIC’s brief also included alterations and modifications to the base building inter-tenancy configuration. These works were to be undertaken directly for 101 Collins Street management, essentially adding a second client to the project.
