The brief to McCormack was from one of Australia’s largest diversified property groups – Accuraco and The GPT Group. The spec suite experts at McCormack in collaboration with Studio 103 were asked to create a speculative fit-out that would showcase the property, located at the high-profile Melbourne Central Tower building, that would appeal to a variety of prospective clients.
McCormack worked with Studio 103 and TJ Consulting to design and construct this flexible and versatile space.
The team worked meticulously to construct a beautifully open planned design that consisted of a front of house area, with displayed bookshelf which can be pulled apart with the flexibility to be rearranged. This backed onto a multi-functional meeting space. Keeping the finishes to a minimum, polished concrete floors were included which complimented the neutral colour palette and the white, grey timber tones which boasted a classic contemporary look and feel.
The client received a high amount of interest, with three tenants wanting the space directly after completion which led to the tenancy being leased out immediately once on the market. With the Level 16 Spec Fitout being awarded by McCormack and scheduled to be completed after this project, one of the tenants who missed out on Level 17 were lined up to lease it out once finished. Overall a successful and rewarding project for all involved.
