We’re excited to share that McCormack has won the award for excellence in the Commercial Office Fit Out category at this year’s Master Painters Association of Victoria / Tasmania awards held at the RACV City Club.
The recognition is especially meaningful as the awarded project is none other than our very own head office at Level 38, 80 Collins Street, Melbourne… a space that not only reflects the strength of our team but the evolution of our craft.
This fitout is more than just an office; it’s a physical expression of who we are. Delivered entirely by our in-house trade teams, the project showcases the highest levels of craftsmanship, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail. From sculpted architectural curves to premium finishes, our painting team brought the space to life with precision and pride. We used a curated mix of Dulux premium products for longevity and finish quality, complemented by specialty coatings from Haymes and Porter’s Paints to add texture, depth, and distinction to key spaces.
What makes this win even more special are the people behind it — from apprentices just starting their journey to leaders like Evan Blaylock, who began his career as an apprentice 47 years ago and continues to set the standard for excellence today. Creating a space that represents all of us has been a privilege and a point of pride.
McCormack’s story began 56 years ago in Jack McCormack’s garage as a painting and maintenance business. Today, we are a leading construction company and through all our growth, our in-house trades remain at the core of what we do. This award is a celebration of that legacy, that team spirit, and the passion we bring to every project.
