McCormack’s annual Oaks Day party was in full swing at the Bleakhouse this last Thursday 3rd November. Even bigger and better than last year, we were joined by friends and family and some of our cherished partners we have worked with over the past twelve months.

As part of the event and our continued support of causes important to the extended McCormack family, our Oaks Day event featured the Lighthouse Foundation as our official not-for-profit partner.

The Lighthouse Foundation provides homeless children and young people – and those at risk of homelessness – with the therapeutic care and support they need to heal and thrive, while also giving foster carers and families the education and support they need too. We’re proud to be a part of The Lighthouse Foundation’s network.

On what was a very special and fun day, our guests and friends lived it up in Bleakhouse’s glamourous surroundings, taking in the races and the chance to get dressed up and embrace all the fashion and fun of the Spring Carnival.

We sincerely thank everyone who attended for their support and generous donations. We appreciate the love and big-heartedness of all our guests.

In particular, we would like to thank the Bleakhouse for accommodating the party with excellent food and service, Floria Events and Helen Bye Flowers for their décor, and Chris Kapa for snaking in some excellent photos (see below for some great shots) capturing the day in all its joy and glory.

We took a moment or two to recover from the day, but we look forward to seeing everyone at the next event. It’s never too late to donate to The Lighthouse Foundation and the amazing service they provide. If you’d like to make a contribution, please click here.
