McCormack is proud to announce its role as a major partner in the Property Industry Foundation’s Steps for Youth Homelessness event, taking place on May 9. This initiative raises critical funds to support young people experiencing homelessness, ensuring they have access to safe and secure housing.

Kate Mills, CEO of the Property Industry Foundation (PIF), highlighted the impact of the initiative and the importance of industry collaboration in tackling youth homelessness:

“Steps for Youth Homelessness is our annual run-walk event, held on the scenic trails of Albert Park Lake in Melbourne on May 9. Last year, the event attracted over 500 participants and raised $114,000 for homeless youth building projects, giving at-risk young people a brighter future. Steps is just one of the ways our industry unites each year to support the Property Industry Foundation and our mission to end youth homelessness in Australia. We are grateful for McCormack’s support as a Major Partner. Together, we can make a difference.”

Through its Haven Project, PIF brings together the property and construction industry to build homes for at-risk youth, directly addressing the growing issue of youth homelessness. McCormack has been a dedicated supporter of this mission for years, reinforcing its commitment to community impact and social responsibility.

The McCormack team have expressed its enthusiasm for the partnership and the opportunity to contribute to such an important cause. “At McCormack, we believe in using our industry expertise to make a meaningful difference,” said Wade McCormack, Director of Operations at McCormack. “The Property Industry Foundation’s work aligns with our values, and we are proud to stand alongside them in their mission to provide safe housing for young people in need.”

Be sure to keep a look out for Wade on event day, as he’ll be getting everyone limbered up and energised through his signature race day warm-up. “We are wrapped with our team’s response to this event, with so many getting involved,” he added.

Funds raised from the Steps for Youth Homelessness event will go toward expanding PIF’s housing initiatives, giving at-risk youth access to a brighter, more stable future.

McCormack encourages industry peers, clients, and the wider community to get involved by joining the event or making a donation.
